My Inspiration!
Chris Button
Chris Button is a Southampton based specialising in Landscape and Macro images mainly from the South and South West of England.
He photographs mainly at dawn and dusk;
"When natural light transforms subjects with its rich and soft colours." - Chris Button
His approach is to capture the image as accurately as possible with careful composition and with a single exposure so he does not have to blend several images together. He prefers to use filters to capture what the eye sees rather than manipulate the photograph with software later.
"There is nothing that matches the excitement of capturing a carefully planned and composed scene in magical lighting especially at dawn long before most normal people are up! That moment when the screen at the back of the camera blinks into life and confirms you've captured a lovely image takes some beating." - Chris Button
His work is so inspirational to me because he does not wish to alter his imags at all with software, instead he perseveres with filters and long exposures to get the image he wants.
I also love the vibrant colours and the still water which enhances the reflections in the photograph and i want to capture this in my future work. You can see more of his work on his website.

Lord Lichfield
Lord Lichfield was a british Photographer who achieved success in travel and publicity work as well as in many personal royal portraits.
Amongst the royal portraits Lichfield has also done fashion shoots, and documentary work in his four decade career.
A Newcastle-based auctioneer John Anderson has said;
"Lichfield is regarded as one of the major British photographers at a time when Britain was leading the entire world in this field, he used a technique called Cibachrome, which gives very rich, glossy images a bit like technicolour."

Lord Lichfields work can be serious but he prefers the not so serious side of it, he believed the natural facial expressions were the most beautiful. An example of this is the first image and the fifth one, they are some of his most famous pieces of work that is shown today in exhibitions in his honour. Another famous image is the queen on her yacht which is in my blog showing this.
Rankin
Synonymous with compelling portraiture, Rankin’s lens captures, creates and unveils icons.
Tapping into the consciousness of the 90s and 00s with his intimate approach and playful sense of humour, Rankin became known for his portraiture of bands, artists, supermodels and politicians. Having photographed everyone from the Queen of England to the Queen of Pop, Rankin is often seen as a celebrity photographer. However, his plethora of campaigns and projects featuring ‘real women’ marked him out as a genuinely passionate portrait photographer, no matter who the subject.

I really like Rankins work because of the way he captures the weird and wonderful combined, he has no boundaries. I want to be able to have the confidence to capture images of people like this in my own work and to have no boundaries of my own.
